A four-phase inverter replacement program combining equipment removal, platform modification and installation across a five-square-mile solar site.
How the project came together.
URE offloaded the replacement solar inverters, removed the existing units from more than 100 steel platforms, extended the platforms to fit the larger replacement equipment and set and anchored the new inverters.
The new inverters had a larger footprint than the existing equipment. URE incorporated structural-steel extensions into the field sequence so platform modification and equipment placement could continue across the large site.
After welding the extensions, URE rigged, set and anchored the new inverters to the modified platforms, connecting structural work and final equipment placement within one coordinated scope.
