United Riggers & Erectors was founded in 1966 as an industrial service company focused on rigging and transporting heavy machinery. The company built its reputation by handling demanding work with experienced crews, specialized equipment and direct attention to cost, schedule and customer satisfaction.
More capability under one roof
As customer needs expanded, so did URE. General construction, steel, industrial installation, plumbing and process piping became part of the field offering. The acquisition of Bowers Transport in 1989 brought specialized hauling into the same project team, allowing transportation and final placement to be planned together.
Storage and field support
URE’s Walnut headquarters includes more than 100,000 square feet of outdoor storage and more than 30,000 square feet of non-climate-controlled indoor warehousing. Onsite staff, equipment and 480-volt power support offloading, reloading and equipment staging.
Built for repeat work
URE approaches each project as the start of a long-term working relationship. The company’s combination of field experience and complementary trades helps customers solve unusual problems without fragmenting critical scopes among disconnected vendors.
